This painting is inspired by Alfred Leslie, the New York based artist from a German jewish immigrant family. He was the second generation of the post war artists like Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning. He was a filmmaker, a photographer and a painter. His famous painting of American Youngstown Ohio has inspired Badri Valian in this painting. If you are not familiar with Youngstown, check the Black Monday in Youngstown September 19, 1977. Alfred Leslie had a huge transition from being an Abstract Expressionism to a Figurative years ago. His other famous painting is Accident from the Killing Cycle.
